Some keys on keyboard are not working after getting its motherboard replaced

There was motherboard failure diagnosed by technician because laptop wasn't switching on (apparently nothing wrong happened with laptop it just didn't start next day); so we got motherboard replaced with a new one but after that keyboard keys are not working and now technician says to get keyboard replace as well. I want to know why this issue has arrived because keyboard was working perfectly before.

Keys not working are Q Y C, upper and lower arrow keys, some function keys.

Hello,

may be the keyboard was faulty in the first place. Sometimes faulty keyboard prevents the computer from powering on.

Is this MacBook or a Windows laptop.

It is hard to tell now why some keys do not work. May be the technician did not connect properly the keyboard.

Please answer this query

Technician clearly says that there is no connection problem and keyboard is faulty and need to be replaced (which means there is no connection problem and its a hardware problem).

There are two possibilities

I just want to know that can motherboard failure cause this keyboard damage? Because I have searched online and there seems to be no connection between motherboard failure and keyboard damage.

Or

During the process of replacement of the motherboard, technician has made some mistake that caused this keyboard damage?

Is this motherboard fault

This is very unlikely that a faulty laptop motherboard would damage the keyboard.

How much have you already spent on this repair. May be to buy another laptop would be cheaper.

Was this laptop still under a warranty. Usually the warranty is 1 year but sometimes manufacturers give 2 years warranty.
